Two things Zakhele Lepasa looks forward to after SuperSport move

Supersport United’s new signing Zakhele Lepasa has stated two things he’s looking forward to at his new home after joining from Orlando Pirates.

The Bafana Bafana international completed a loan move for the remainder of the season on PSL transfer deadline day.

Lepasa’s loan move to the Tshwane outfit might not come as a surprise to many. This season he has struggled for form and game time with the Soweto giants.

He has made 10 league appearances and only found the back of the net once.

To add, he hasn’t made an appearance in the New Year. Lepasa’s last game for the Bucs was on 30 December 2022 against Mamelodi Sundowns, coming in from the bench.

WORKING WITH GAVIN HUNT

Lepasa is looking forward to working with experienced coach Gavin Hunt. Hunt is one of the most successful coaches in the PSL after winning many trophies with different teams.

“I’ve heard from my teammates that he [Gavin Hunt] is a very direct coach and knows what he wants. I just hope it works out for me,” Lepasa told the club’s media department.

SCORE GOALS AND PROVIDE ASSISTS

The 26-year-old further expressed his wish to contribute upfront for the team, scoring goals and providing assists. This, in turn, will help the team grind the results.

“I’m very excited to be here, and I’m hoping to add value to the team, especially up front and getting results. I promise to give my all during my stay and try to do well for the team.”

Lepasa, who is itching for some action after some time out, may be handed his SuperSport debut by Gavin Hunt on Saturday when they take on wounded Cape Town City FC side.

Kickoff at Lucas Moripe Stadium is at 5:30pm.
