Richards Bay FC head coach Vasili Manousakis has revealed why Siyanda Msani didn’t play against his parent club Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Brazilians beat Richards Bay FC 2-0 in the DStv Premiership match on Friday evening at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
Msani has been at the Natal Rich Boyz’s since the beginning of this season.
According to Manousakis, the loan agreement between the clubs over Msani stipulates that the player won’t play against his parent club.
The Richards Bay mentor also admitted that his side didn’t cope well in the left-back’s absence.

“It’s not really the administration issues. It’s part of the loan agreement,” Manousakis told the media during the press conference.
“The loan agreement is clear, ‘you can take Msani on loan, but you can’t play him against us’.
“It’s not something that’s unusual. It happens here and there in Europe and all over the show.”
Sundowns are no strangers to this clause, and most of the PSL clubs who have Downs loanees in their squads go through the same.
THE DEFENDER AMONG THE STANDOUT PERFORMERS
Msani has been one of the standout performers at the club thus far, making 12 appearances since his arrival in July.
He has also caught the eye of the South African national team coach Hugo Broos. Msani has earned call-ups in the last four games Bafana Bafana have played.
The Sundowns academy graduate will be looking to make a return when his side takes a trip to Marumo Gallants on 14 January.
Richards Bay are currently 3rd in the standings and have collected 26 points after 15 games.
