DDC: CT City aiming five in five, Galaxy search for first win
Cape Town City will be aiming to keep their 100% win record intact when they take on Chippa United in the DStv Diski Challenge on Sunday morning at Malta Park Sports Complex.
City have been impressive since the start of the campaign. They sit at the summit of the log standings with 12 points.
They have scored 10 goals, and they have conceded the lowest for far, two. On the other hand, Chippa are 10th with five points from four matches.
City coach Ian Taylor believes the tie against the Chilli Boys will a difficult one. The Gqeberha outfit is a wounded lion. They are coming from a humiliating 6-0 defeat to Stellenbosch FC. Therefore, they will be looking for redemption come Sunday.
“They would be a dangerous side, we all saw what happened to them last week. It would be a tough game, but the boys will fight on the day and see what we get,” Taylor told SuperSport.
TS Galaxy v Swallows
Off to Mbombela, TS Galaxy will be aiming to get their first win of the season when they face off against Swallows.
The Dube Birds are not far from Galaxy in the standings. The Soweto outfit lay 15th on the log with four points. They are at par with Maritzburg United, Marumo Gallants, Kaizer Chiefs and Richards Bay.
The Rockets are the only team yet to register a victory in the 2022/23 season. They’ve conceded seven goals and found the back of the net three times so far this season.
