Veteran striker Lerato Lamola set for Polokwane City move
Motsepe Foundation Championship side Polokwane City are set to complete the signing of veteran striker Lerato Lamola.
This publication has gathered that Lamola has been training with Rise and Shine for the past few days.
It is believed that Polokwane are keen on luring the striker to beef up their attack ahead of the resumption of the second-tier league.
At the beginning of the season, Lamola was reportedly on the verge of joining All Stars upon their relocation to Gauteng from Cape Town.
But the former Golden Arrows striker was unveiled by Platinum City Rovers instead. However, after playing in just three league matches Lamola parted ways with the North West based club.
Lamola started his football career at Free State based club Roses United in the 2012/13 season. It was then that he was discovered by Bloemfontein Celtic.
He spent three seasons at Siwele where he featured 89 times. The 36-year-old scored 21 times.
After the Celtic success, Lamola secured a move to Golden Arrows. He also made a name for himself at the KwaZulu-Natal based club where he played over 116 matches.
After four seasons at Arrows, Lamola secured a move back to his home province of Limpopo via a move to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila. This was before they changed their name to Marumo Gallants.
