Mamelodi Sundowns-bound striker Abubeker Nassir did not have the best of farewells with Ethiopia Coffee FC on Friday.
Nassir, who is set to join Sundowns next month, featured in Coffee’s 1-0 loss to Arba Minch City in an Ethiopian Premier League match.
Ahmed Hussien’s 45th minute goal was the difference as Minch City held on to record their third victory in a row.
Before the game, last season’s Most Valuable Player Nassir got a guard of honor celebrating his final match in the Ethiopian league.
Nassir will travel to South Africa to complete his move to Sundowns in the coming days.
The Ethiopian international is believed to have signed a pre-contract with the DStv Premiership team earlier this year.
Minch City are within one point of Ethiopian Coffee in the standings.
