Mathematics say we can win the league, so why not? – Barca coach

Barcelona look primed for a late surge after winning four La Liga matches in a row with their January signings giving them a boost just when they needed it most.

Despite their good form of late, Barca are still 15 points behind leaders Real Madrid with only 11 games remaining but coach Xavi remains optimistic.

“Mathematics say that we can win the league, so why not? The others are failing but not Real Madrid. They have time on their side. It’s very difficult, but not impossible,” said Xavi.

“La Liga and the Europa League are the two goals but the first is to be in the Champions League next year.

“We’re already third and the goals now are the two remaining titles. LaLiga doesn’t lie to you.”
