Clinton Larsen dumps Summerfield, set to join Limpopo side
Veteran coach Clinton Larsen is set join the Motsepe Foundation Championship after parting ways with ABC Motsepe league side Summerfield Dynamos.
The former Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United tactician spent two years in the unfashionable ABC Motsepe league.
The 51-year-old left Summerfield Dynamos in a huff and FARPost has it on good authority that he is set to join ambitious Limpopo-based side Magesi FC.
Insiders in the Summerfield Dynamos camp revealed that Larsen left the club on Tuesday to join the Motsepe Foundation Championship club amid expectation that he can help them gain promotion into the Premier Soccer League.
“The coach left on Tuesday, he has resigned and currently on the way to Limpopo. He should complete the move either today or tomorrow,” the insider revealed.
Larsen led Summerfield Dynamos to the last 16 of Nedbank Cup and ABC Motsepe league national play-offs.
Prior to this development, Durban born coach was already on the radar of several PSL clubs but he was clear about his mission to help the Chartsworth based club gain promotion.
However, he faces a herculean task ahead of him to lift Magesi who are currently fixated on eleventh position with 13 points on their tally.
They face Cape Town All Stars in their last match of the year, with Larsen expected to be in attendance.
