TTM make a U-turn on Johnny Ferreira?

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) seems to have made a U-turn regarding the future of coach Johnny Ferreira.

TTM recently relocated to Mangaung, where they will be playing their PSL home matches at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium. The move also came as no surprise from the club, who had been contemplating moving away from Thohoyandou.

When the club eventually left a week ago, they had left head coach Johnny Ferreira and other technical team members behind. A communique was sent to the staff that only two technical staff members would be retained.

“To Technical Team. It is hereby confirmed that Mr Phasha Azwihangwisi [Team Manager] and Wisani Nemuremelane [Physio] are the ones leaving with the team to Bloemfontein on Monday at 12:00,” read the message.

This publication has it on good authority that former Jomo Cosmos goalkeeper Walter Khumalo has been taking charge of training sessions. The club arrived in Mangaung nine days ago.

JOHNNY FERREIRA TO REJOIN TTM?

But the latest coming from the TTM camp is that Ferreira has now been recalled to join the camp in the Free State. However, his assistant coach Ricardo Miriri and former coach Lucky Nelukau have been left behind.

Miriri’s exclusion from the current setup has surprised many. He has always been seen as a loyal servant to club owner Masala Mulaudzi..

This is ahead of their Motsepe Foundation Championship clash against Casric Stars on Saturday.

SUPPORTERS IN MANGAUNG CURIOUS

This publication has learnt that some sections of the Bloemfontein Celtic supporters were due to meet this week over the arrival of TTM. Some have also raised concerns about who really owns the club and the long-term future of the club.

Free State has been without a top-flight club since Celtic was sold to Royal AM two seasons ago.
