Richards Bay FC make technical team changes

Richards Bay FC have announced the restructuring of its technical team following the string of poor results.

The Natal Rich Boyz have appointed Vasili Manousakis as the sole head coach of the first team.

Meanwhile, Pitso Dladla has been demoted to the assistant coach role, while Ronnie Gabriel remains as the second assistant coach.

Manousakis will be in charge permanently until the end of the season with an option to extend the contract for further two years.

He joined the DStv Premiership side at the beginning of the season with the club reinforcing the technical team as Dladla and Gabriel didn’t have top-flight experience.

The KZN side had an incredible start to their maiden season in the DStv Premiership. They exceeded the expectations of many, spending the majority of the first round in the second position.

However, things seem to have taken a slump as they have gone eight games without a win in all competitions.

In their last match, they were humiliated 4-0 by TS Galaxy in the league on Sunday.

From chasing the league title, Richards Bay are now sixth on the log standings with 31 points after 23 games.

With the FIFA break taking place this week, Manousakis’ side will have some time to regroup and return stronger.

They are next on action against Orlando Pirates in a league match on the 1st of April at the King Zwelithini Stadium at 15:30.
