Cape Town City head coach Eric Tinkler has honestly revealed whether he pictures himself in the dugout of Kaizer Chiefs.
Having mentored Amakhosi’s arch-rivals Orlando Pirates before, he knows the feeling of being in charge of a big club.
The Roodepoort-born coach took the reins at the Sea Robbers in 2014 after the previous coach Roger De Sa decided to resign.
The following year, he led the club to the CAF Confederation Cup final where they lost to Etoile du Sahel. In 2016, his side fell short in another final, the Nedbank Cup at the hands of SuperSport United.
Speaking in the interview with Marawa Sports Worldwide, Tinkler said he would welcome an opportunity from Amakhosi.

“I never close doors, that has always been my belief,” he said.
“And never say never, anything is possible. Who knows, maybe somewhere further down the line, that may happen.
“But right now, I’m extremely happy where I am at Cape Town City. As the chairman said I wanna be here for the next ten years. And that’s gonna be the objective.”
Tinkler believes a coach who’s a normal human being in SA would love to be in Naturena.
“I think every coach would love to be coaching one of the top clubs in the country.
“I’ve been at Pirates. I experienced what’s that like and I don’t think I would be human if I said no,” he added.
The 52-year-old tactician has won two trophies as a head coach to date. He hoisted Telkom Knockout Cup during his first stint with Cape Town City in the 2016/17 season.
The following season, he got greener pastures at SuperSport United. He then went on to win the MTN8 in his first season with the club.
Now, he’s in his second spell with the Citizens. Unfortunately, in this campaign, he’s had an inconsistent run with the club. In 22 matches he has overseen, they have won seven, drawn five, and lost ten.
