Why Amakhosi coach Zwane is not worried about Blom contract situation
Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has weighed in on Njabulo Blom’s situation at the club, insisting that he is not entirely worried about whether the player will pen a new deal or leave the Soweto giants.
Zwane has made it clear that he doesn’t want to lose the midfield sensation in his team.
This comes after contract disagreements between the player’s representatives and the club management.
According to Zwane, the decision to keep the player rests with the management.
He hopes the issue will be solved and Blom will be handed a new improved contract at the Soweto outfit.
Blom had a great game on Sunday in the MTN8 semi final first leg against AmaZulu at FNB Stadium.
He was bossing the midfield, especially in the second half when Chiefs were pushing for an equaliser. Gabadinho Mhango had opened the scoring in the first half.
“As a coach I will always want to see Njabulo [Blom] playing football and succeeding in playing football because he’s very talented,” Zwane told the media.
“Unfortunately, these things do happen with the people who represent these players, so I will leave the club to deal with it.
“I’m not that much worried; obviously, we want to see him on the field. He’s got the qualities; we know Njabulo since he was 15 years old, actually 14 years old when he came to Kaizer Chiefs.”

Zwane further revealed that the contract issue has not affected Blom at training or in his play.
“He’s doing well. Obviously as much as we looking for perfection, there will always be mistakes, and we can work on those mistakes,” Zwane added.
The Soweto giants will face AmaZulu at Moses Mabhida on October 23rd in the second leg of the semi final.
For now Chiefs shift focus to the DStv Premiership. They face rivals Swallows FC in a Soweto derby on Wednesday evening.
Chiefs will be aiming for back-to-back victories, whilst The Dube Bird are eyeing to get back to winning ways after 4-0 defeat last time out.
Kickoff at Dobsonville Stadium is at 19:30.
