Chiefs duo highlights key to Bimenyimana’s good form
Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana has started life at Kaizer Chiefs on a positive note, and the club’s duo of Sifiso Hlanti and Kgaogelo Sekgota has highlighted the key to the striker’s rich vein of form.
Chiefs’ new talisman, Bimenyimana, has scored six goals in five DStv Premierships since joining Amakhosi at the beginning of the season.
With Amakhosi coach Arthur Zwane speaking highly of the Burundian striker and revealing that the club monitored the striker for a few weeks before signing him, a lot was expected from Bimenyimana, who has so far lived up to expectations.
Hlanti, however, warns it is important not to overburden Bimenyimana to score goals, while Sekgota states that he likes teaming up with the striker upfront.
“We can’t put him under pressure as players because he also needs our support,” Hlanti told the media at Naturena on Thursday.
HLANTI AND SEKGOTA’S THOUGHTS ON CALEB
“I believe that we also have good offensive players who can score goals as they want. It is all about support, and the good thing about us is we show the character to support one another.
“And to do things in the right way, so it is a matter of time and Caleb, if he feels that he wants to score more goals, he just needs support from us,” added Hlanti.
Sekgota, who has been in incredible form of late, has described Bimenyimana as a ‘finisher’.
“He is a good striker; I enjoy playing with him like with all the other teammates at the club,” said Sekgota.
“I think working with him and with any Chiefs player will help us win a game, and we play to win games.
“He is more of a finisher, he likes to finish, and he likes to score, creates space for himself to get opportunities and goals. He is a good player to have in the team.”
