Why Moeketsi Sekola is a relieved man
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) forward Moeketsi Sekola has revealed why he is a relieved man at the Limpopo club.
Sekola joined TTM on a short-term deal at the beginning of the season. The 34-year-old has already found the back of the net for the first time in just seven games.
The former Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot winner has had his ups and downs in football, including his dispute with the now-defunct Highlands Park.
Speaking to FARPost this week, Sekola says his dispute with Highlands Park is a thing of the past, adding that he has been a relieved man ever since then.
“To be honest some of the things were beyond my control, I don’t want to lie,” he said.
“But since I left Highlands Park, I have been enjoying football, no stress or anything. The most important thing is to play, no later what happens. Because at the end of the day that’s what I know. I don’t know anything else but to play football.
“So when you are not playing is a set back so to be honest ever since I left there wherever I go I play. To be honest there were issues but there were beyond my control hence I asked to be released so that I can go somewhere else and play.
WHY SEKOLA JOINED TTM
“The Chairman has been calling me for a while now so I had to listen to his call because when someone is chasing you eventually you will give in. So that’s why I heard to listen to him and leave Free State to come all the way here,”
TARGETS FOR THE SEASON
“To be honest my brother, that’s how I am. Every season I want to improve, if last season I scored 10, next season I want to go above 10. That’s how I always challenge myself to do more,” said Sekola
TTM are currently fifth on the Motsepe Foundation Championship log, five points below leaders Hungry Lions.
