Brandon Truter impressed with the progress at Sekhukhune United

Coach Brandon Truter has said that he is impressed with the progress of Sekhukhune United as they prepare to take on AmaZulu in a DStv Premiership encounter at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

The AmaZulu game, will be Truter’s first in charge of Sekhukhune as head coach.

Truter’s main task is to take the Limpopo-based side from the bottom half of the table.

Ironically, AmaZulu is the last club Truter coached before he was assigned to lead Babina Noko.

Truter, who was appointed prior to the FIFA World Cup break, is pleased with what he has seen since taking charge.

“So far, I am very pleased with the bunch of players I have, who are open to learning and open to new ideas. Adapt very well, and coachable as well, so I am happy with the progress made so far,” said Truter.

BRANDON TRUTER COMMENDS SEKHUKHUNE UNITY

“I am very happy with the players and the support staff. I have absolutely no complaints at the moment,” he added.

“There is unity in the team that is of good nature, that is of a positive nature as well, so yah I am very happy.”

Truter went on to comment on facing his former club, AmaZulu, insisting that his focus is on Sekhukhune and the three points at stake.

“It’s about us. It’s a home game for us. It’s about going into the new year with three points, so I am not really focused on AmaZulu at the moment,” explained Truter.

“They have a new coach after I departed, so there are new tactics. We will analyse the last few games and see what we can come up with, but for us, it’s about us.

WHAT TYPE OF FOOTBALL CAN SEKHUKHUNE FANS EXPECT

“A different brand of football, attacking brand of football, a one-to-win type of football. I am sure it’s going to be the type of brand that they will be happy with. But it needs to be a winning style of football.”
