Dillan Solomons’ honest admission as he reflects on first seven months at Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs defender Dillan Solomons has made an honest admission as he reflects on his first seven months at Amakhosi

Solomons joined Chiefs in June last year in a four-year deal from Swallows

The 26-year-old featured 17 times for Amakhosi before he was sidelined with an injury. Solomons dislocated his shoulder during the 2-0 win against Royal AM at Peter Mokaba Stadium last month.

It was expected that Solomoms could be out for some time, but it turns out he could be back within a period of two weeks.

“A bit inconsistent, I am not going to lie. But it’s about competition, and that’s what I want. I wanted to have competition, and hopefully, it will bring out the best in me.

ON SIYABONGA NGEZANA PERFORMANCE AT RIGHT BACK

“Ngezana has been playing right back for a few years. So I don’t think he is new to the position, so he knows what to do. Sometimes you do help him, but for me, it’s not giving too much information because he knows what he needs to do, and he obviously gets information from the coach.”

UPDATE ON HIS INJURY

“For me, my injury is coming along well. It’s not as bad as expected, so hopefully, I will be back soon. The team has been doing well, so I am very happy for them. They are using that momentum of winning the Nedbank Cup against Maritzburg United to take it to the league, which is good for us, and hopefully, this weekend, we can get another three points.

Solomons was speaking during Kaizer Chiefs’ visit to the Ga-Molepo area in Limpopo ahead of their clash against Arrows.
