The three teams that give Jerry Tshabalala sleepless nights

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies head coach, Jerry Tshabalala, has revealed three teams that give him sleepless nights in the Hollywoodbets Super League this season.

After six games played in the Super League so far, Sundowns are at the summit of the log standings with16 points, just one point ahead of second-placed, UWC Ladies.

However, Sundowns Ladies played one less game than the Cape side. Unlike Sundowns this season, UWC Ladies has been a free-scoring team in the league.

Sundowns head coach, Tshabalala, admitted to FARPost that the league is much tougher this season compared to the past.

THREE TEAMS THAT GIVE TSHABALALA SLEEPLESS NIGHTS

Tshabalala also named the league’s newcomers, AmaTuks Ladies and Copperbelt Ladies, as teams that might be a problem for many teams in the league this season, including Sundowns.

He went on to give credit to UWC for their current form and consistency this season.

“Like is said, the competition is getting tougher in the Hollywoodbets league. The teams have beef up, and the credit must go to UWC.

“When you look at them, they are consistent in terms of how they have been doing their things.

“The first addition of the national league, I think they finished around ninth, twelfth. The second addition they fought hard and they went to sixth or third, or fourth position.”

The 2022 Super League Coach of the Year, Tshabalala, continued: “And last year, they finished second. It tells you that they have been doing something very good.”

“But other than that, I see them as one of the teams that will push us to the wire.

“As well as the two surprise packages, I see the University of Pretoria [AmaTuks], causing a bit of an upset to many teams.

‘TS GALAXY QUEENS BLOWING HOT AND COLD’

“Yes, we were expecting a lot from TS Galaxy but they are blowing hot and cold. But there is a team that I’m very worried about.

“The Copperbelt team, when you go to Limpopo, it is not easy to get points there. I see them, how they play.

“They have got a good coach who understands the strength of their players,” concluded Tshabalala.
