Agent confirms Mamelodi Sundowns return for midfield duo

Managing Director of Footballerz Sports Marketing Ntobatsi Masegela has confirmed the return of a midfield duo to Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.

Sundowns have once again proven their dominance in South African football after clinching their sixth league title in the just-ended season.

Sundowns’ dominance in the league saw head coach Rulani Mokwena walk away with the Coach of the Season award while Teboho Mokoena and Peter Shalulile won Footballer of the Season and Top Goal Scorer, respectively.

Meanwhile, Masandawana recently parted ways with one of their central midfielders Andile Jali on mutual consent.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS TO WELCOME BACK GRANT MARGEMAN AND SPHESIHLE MKHIZE

With the Tshwane-based side confirming the departure of Jali, FARPost understands that Grant Margeman and Siphesihle Mkhize will return to Sundowns for preseason at the end of June.

Margeman had an impressive season with SuperSport United, while Mkhize turned out for Chippa United.

“Grant Margeman and Sphesihle Mkhize will be heading to Sundowns for the preseason,” Masegela told FARPost.

“We feel that the environment at Sundowns is conducive enough for Margeman to compete and reach his personal goals.

“So, for now, we are looking to get a stable environment for him. If we think he should stay at Sundowns, he’ll stay.

“If SuperSport wants to have him on a permanent move, it will boil down to what Mamelodi Sundowns want.

“We should respect the interest of Sundowns as the parent club and the player’s interest.

“Another player going back to Sundowns is Siphesihle Mkhize. He’s been out on many loans, so we are also looking for a permanent move for him,” he concluded.
