Jamie Webber’s promise to Sekhukhune United fans
Newly signed Sekhukhune United midfielder Jamie Webber has made a promise to the club supporters ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
Webber was snapped up by Babina Noko on a free transfer after SuperSport United opted against renewing his contract.
The 25-year midfielder made 19 appearances in all competitions for SuperSport in the just-ended season and scored one goal.
Webber spent six seasons with SuperSport having joined the club from Stellenbosch FC in 2017/18 season.
In his stint with Matsatsantsa, he made 119 overall appearances and scored six goals while chipping in with nine assists.
Meanwhile, Sekhukhune finished the 2022/23 on a high after making it to the Nedbank Cup final and qualified for CAF Confederations Cup.
With the Limpopo-based side participating in the CAF competition next season, they started beefing up their team to build a competitive team.
In addition, Webber who was announced on Tuesday, 14 June, 2023 has revealed what the Sekhukhune fans can expect from him.

“Dear fans, I’m very grateful to be here; you guys are a source of inspiration. For me the thought joining Sekhukhune is stimulating,” Webber said in a club media.
“I’m excited about learning new skills although I’m also aware that it will be a lot of hard work. I really enjoyed watching the team play last season and I know this will be a great move for me.
“The club is incredible and the culture of the club I think is what I have been missing for the past few years.
“What you can expect for me is being a team player, being respectful towards coaches and my teammates. Also my willingness to work hard, being accountable and take responsibility. I will always give 100%,”
