Ngezana opens up about Chiefs exit in emotional note

Siyabonga Ngezana has penned an emotional note following his exit from Kaizer Chiefs after signing for Romanian club, Fotbal Club FCSB.

Amakhosi announced the 25-year-old’s departure on Thursday after they agreed on an “undisclosed fee” with the 26-time Romanian champions over the transfer of the defender.

Ngezana described the move as the toughest decision he has ever taken. However, he stated he was happy about an amicable parting of ways between himself and Chiefs.

He went on to send words of thanks to the club’s chairman Kaizer Motaung and the whole hierarchy, players, staff and coaches.

NGEZANA BREAKS SILENCE AFTER CHIEFS EXIT

“I don’t know whether to cry or be happy,” he wrote on his Instagram account as translated from IsiZulu.

“I will never put into words the love and support I got from this family of Kaizer Chiefs and the fans since day one till this day of my departure.

“Thanks to the coaches who coached me in the past for guidance and words of wisdom [to the] likes of coach Steve Khompela, Giovanni Solinas, Ernst Middendorp, Gavin Hunt, Dellon Shepard and Arthur Zwane.
