Why Pitso Mosimane opted to join Al Wahda 

Just a day after Pitso Mosimane was announced as Al Wahda’s new coach, the South African highly-rated coach has revealed why he opted to join the United Arab Emirates [UAE]. 

Mosimane joins the UAE side after a successful season with Al Ahli Saudi where he spent eight months. 

In those eight months with Al Ahli, the ex-Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns mentor helped the team to gain promotion to the Saudi Pro League. 

To put a cherry on top, Mosimane won the championship title with Al Ahli in the 1st Division League. 

The 58-year-old mentor is over the moon to join as the four-time UAE Pro League champions. 

Mosimane will be heading to the UAE with his usual technical team. The technical team consist of Maahier Davids, Kabelo Rangoaga, Musi Matlaba, Kyle Solomon, and Goal Keeper Coach, Hamad Alyami. 

And the former Bafana Bafana coach and his technical team cannot wait to hit the ground running in the UAE.

PITSO MOSIMANE IMPRESSED BY AL WAHDA’S VISION 

Mosimane has come forward to reveal why he opt to put a pen to paper for UAE side. He says he was happy with the club’s vision. 

“I am honoured to join Al Wahda. As their Head Coach,” said coach Mosimane. 

“We are happy with the club’s vision, ambition, and commitment to excellence. And together with the talented players and the dedicated staff, we will strive to achieve greatness.”

AL WAHDA WISHES MOSIMANE SUCCESS IN HIS NEW JOURNEY 

“The club’s Board of Directors welcomes Mr Mosimane to the Home of Champion; wishing him success in serving the club’s leadership, administration, and fans’ ambitions,” said Al Wahda in a statement.

Meanwhile, MT Sports, which manages coach Mosimane stated that they are proud to have found the coach another home. 

“We believe that our coaches possess the qualities and expertise necessary to guide Al Wahda F.C. to new heights. Their passion, dedication, and exceptional skills will undoubtedly drive the team to success,” said MT Sports Managing Director, Moira Tlhagale.
