Bathusi Aubaas opens up on interest from other clubs

TS Galaxy midfielder Bathusi Aubaas has spoken out about the interest from multiple clubs ahead of the PSL 2023/24 season.

The future of the Bafana Bafana international at the Rockets is uncertain as the DStv Premiership side is set to sell him to the highest bidder.

The 28-year-old footballer made his Bafana debut over the weekend when Hugo Broos’ side defeated the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finalists Morocco 2-1 at FNB Stadium.

And Aubaas was very instrumental in South Africa’s win against the North African nation. The victory was Bafana’s first win over Morocco in 21 years. Broos’ charges are now unbeaten in seven games.

BATHUSI AUBAAS ON HIS HIGH DEMAND

The ex-Free State Stars man revealed that his phone has been ringing none stop, with inquiries from other clubs.

“I’m going to leave my future to my agent and chairman Tim Sukazi because now people are calling me left, right, and centre,” said Aubaas in an interview with Radio 2000.

“And this it’s putting a lot of pressure on me.”

DIFFERENT PRICES FOR DIFFERENT SUITORS

Meanwhile, Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi made clear that there are different prices for different suitors if the clubs really want Aubaas.

“There are different prices for different suitors. If Sundowns, Chiefs, SuperSport, or Barcelona comes, the price might not be the same,” said Sukazi.

“It depends on the market in which they operate or buying power but we will not stand in a player’s way.”

Sukazi went on to reveal how “disgusted” he was by SAFA naming his player as an Orlando Pirates player.

“But I was very disgusted by SAFA naming Aubaas as a Pirates player,” the club president added.

“The Team Manager tried to reach out. And explained that they were using the same template that had Miguel Timm. That’s how the mistake happened, but it’s still unacceptable.”
