Tim Sukazi lists TS Galaxy players who ‘deserve’ Bafana call-ups
“I know an international player when I see one,” said Tim Sukazi as he listed TS Galaxy players who should be given Bafana Bafana call-ups.
Sukazi spoke to FARPost following Bathusi Aubaas’ magnificent showing during his Bafana Bafana debut against Morocco in the AFCON qualifier last week.
He stated he wasn’t surprised by the performance of the Rockets midfielder. He believes that not only Aubaas is of international standard at the Mpumalanga-based side.
According to the former players’ agent, Mlungisi Mbunjana is another midfield general that has what it takes to represent the national team.
Sukazi also confidently stated that Galaxy’s central defence pair Pogiso Sanoka and Given Msimango can “easily” fit in the Hugo Broos’ side. Moreover, he claimed that the duo was the most consistent central defense pair in the past season of the DStv Premiership.

“We work hard as a [so-called] young club in this league for our players to be of such a quality such that they can play at the national team in the way Aubaas played,” Sukazi told FARPost.
“I have said it before that we have got a number of players who are, in my view, ready for the national team. I had mentioned Aubaas as one of them and of course others.
“Players like Sanoka, can play that central defensive position easily. Given Msimango can also play there any day anytime. This central defence pairing has been the most consistent in the league this [past] season with the best defensive record.
“I’m not talking about central pairing that has been changing. One minute the other one plays and the other one doesn’t play. This one has been the most consistent.
“Surely, they command the best defensive record in a very tough league as you know. So, such players, they deserve a look in.”
‘I KNOW THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARD’
“The likes of Mbunjana can play for the national team. I know an international player when I see one and I know the international standard,” he continued.
“There is a league standard and an international standard, these things are not the same. There are players who may shine in their certain clubs in the league but it doesn’t necessarily mean they can play international football.
“So, I’ve been quite vocal on the players that we have that can play at the international level. I’m glad that Aubaas came in there and everyone had to see this.
“I wasn’t surprised by his performance.”
