Victor Letsoalo completes medical at PSL side

Victor Letsoalo has completed his medical test at a PSL side with his departure from Sekhukhune United imminent.

FARPost has been reliably informed that the 30-year-old is on the verge of joining AmaZulu FC. The Durban outfit is bolstering their squad ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.

He underwent his medical test at Usuthu on Monday.

VICTOR LETSOALO SET FOR AMAZULU MOVE

Letsoalo is set to relocate back to KZN after spending just one season with his home province side Babina Noko. He joined the Limpopo outfit from Royal AM at the beginning of the past campaign. This was after his impressive 2021/22 season with Thwihli Thwahla.

However, he struggled somewhat to replicate his Royal AM form at Sekhukhune. Letsoalo featured in 32 matches in all competitions. He only tapped the back of the net five times, while he provided three assists.

Initially, multiple reports had suggested that AmaZulu and Sekhukhune were in talks over a possible swap deal. The deal would involve Letsoalo and Usuthu’s midfielder Rally Bwalya. While the KZN side is inching close to getting Letsoalo’s services, it is uncertain whether the Zambian international will go the opposite way.

Should Letsoalo successfully join Usuthu, he will be competing with the likes of Bongi Ntuli and Junior Dion for the number nine spot. Usuthu recently parted company with one of their forwards Lehlohonolo Majoro at the end of the season.

In the last campaign, AmaZulu struggled in front of goal at times. They will be hoping to find a solution in Letsoalo.

USUTHU BUSY IN THE MARKET

A few weeks ago, the club’s president Sandile Zungu confirmed they had completed three signings. Meanwhile, Usuthu also signed Celimpilo Ngema on a pre-contract in the middle of the season.

He’s understood to have joined the club as they have already assembled for the pre-season.

FARPost also reported that the Durban-based club has shown interest in Siboniso Conco who has left Maritzburg United. It remains to be seen whether they’ll acquire the attacking midfielder’s signature.
