Morena Ramoreboli extends his stay in Botswana

Jwaneng Galaxy has extended the stay of coach Morena Ramoreboli after he successfully won the 2022/2023 Botswana Premier League.

The South African football coach has signed a one-year deal with the side ahead of the new season.

Ramoreboli is currently with the Bafana Bafana for the upcoming COSAFA Cup.

The last time Jwaneng Galaxy won the league title was back in the 2019/20 campaign.

The Botswana mining outfit Galaxy finished the season on  72 points, eight points ahead of second-placed Gaborone United.

Ramoreboli took over the coaching reigns at Galaxy in 2021, guiding them to the CAF Champions League group stage for the first time in the club’s history.

He went on to making history by hammering Tanzanian giants Simba SC in their own turf in the Champions League.

The ex-Maluti FET coach made the headlines whe he guided Bafana to the Cosafa Cup title as caretaker coach in 2021. This was after Bafana assistant coach Helman Mkhalele had been sidelined due to health issues [Covid-19].

The COSAFA tournament will kick off from 5-16 July in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

He will work alongside with Raymond Mdaka who guided Marumo Gallants to the last CAF Confederations Cup semifinals.

Ramoreboli’s charges will report to camp on Tuesday, 27 June 2023 in Durban for the regional competition.
