Siyabonga Ngezana’s contract details to FCSB revealed

The contract details of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana to the Romanian giants FCSB have been revealed.

This comes after the player touched down in the Netherlands on Saturday and was officially unveiled by the club.

The Glamour Boys announced the departure of the talented centre-back a fortnight ago ahead of the new PSL season.

Ngezana made his debut for Amakhosi in 2017 against the DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns and rose through the ranks to become an important member of Chiefs’ squad.

The defender made 123 appearances for the Soweto giants before signing for the Romanian side for a fee reportedly in the region of R12 million.

Last season, Ngezana featured in 23 games across all competitions, as he spent some of his time on the sidelines.

SIYABONGA NGEZANA CONTRACT DETAILS REVEALED

The 25-year-old footballer has signed a three-year deal with FCSB, with a two-year option.

Ngezana could spend five years with the Romanian giants. With the player having arrived in the Netherlands on Saturday after receiving his work visa, Ngezana will meet his FSCB teammates for pre-season camp.

According to reports, the former Chiefs Academy product will don jersey number 30. The side eagerly anticipates Ngezana’s impact on the field of play and they are optimistic that the defender will add the much-needed value to FSCB’s squad in the upcoming season.

It goes without saying that Ngezana’s extensive experience with the beautiful game will work to his advantage. He previously helped Chiefs to reach the finals of the CAF Champions in the 2020/21 season.

To add to that, the ex-Chiefs star also formed part of the 2018 Bafana Bafana squad at the COSAFA Cup. He represented SA at the junior level including the U23s.
