Motsepe Foundation Championship side Black Leopards have appointed ex-Real Madrid Academy coach Alejandro Dorado to take charge of the team.
Dorado [38] was unveiled during a media briefing held at Meropa Casino, Polokwane on Monday.
The Spanish-born mentor will also bring in another assistant to work alongside Peter Mponda. Mponda was unveiled two weeks ago when Leopards also announced their return to the PSL.

Dorado began his coaching career as a young coach at Spanish Giants Real Madrid in 2012. He was then appointed assistant coach at Finnish side FC Honka in 2018 where he spent one season.
In 2019, Dorado moved to China where he was an assistant coach at Dalian Pro, a Chinese Super League club. He was working alongside former Liverpool and Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez. Dorado currently holds a UEFA Pro Licence. Before his move to South Africa, Dorado was at HFX Wanderers FC in the Canadian Premier League. He also serves as an assistant manager.
HUGE TASK AHEAD FOR NEW LIDODA DUVHA MENTOR
The head coach job at Black Leopards is the first as head coach and he will be tasked with taking the club back to the DStv Premiership.
On his LinkedIn page, Dorado describes himself as a highly educated coach who is ready to assume the responsibilities that this role requires.
“I have 15 years of experience in elite academies and have a lot of experience working with younger players who I have helped to grow in their careers.
“I am a proactive and passionate person, and I have a great interest in working with you and believe I can be instrumental in bringing success to the club and getting the best out of every member of the team,” read his profile.
Leopards were relegated at the end of last season but purchased the status of All Stars. They have also restructured their management with Chief Thidiela taking the chairmanship role and David Thidiela now the club’s President.
