SAFA bags new sponsor for Bafana Bafana

The SA Football Association [SAFA] have announced a new sponsorship agreement for Bafana Bafana as the AFCON 2024 edges closer.

The South African senior men’s football team qualified for the upcoming AFCON set to be staged in Ivory Coast between January and February next year.

Bafana Bafana have been a in good form in recent times under Hugo Broos. They beat North African giants Morroco 2-1 at FNB Stadium few weeks ago.

The victory over Morocco has brought a lot of optimism around the team and SAFA announced a new sponsor for the team on Monday, 3 July at SAFA House in Johannesburg.

Betting company 10bet South Africa is the new sponsor Bafana after signing a four-year partnership deal.

“We are delighted to partner with 10bet South Africa. This is the beginning of a relationship between two ambitious and forward-thinking brands. We hope this partnership will help us bring fans the best possible product. And continue growing South African football,” said SAFA CEO Lydia Monyepao.

Meanwhile, the president of SAFA Danny Jordan elaborated more on what to expect from the sponsorship with 10bet.

“Global online sport betting company 10bet is the official betting partner of our senior national team Bafana Bafana,” Danny Jordan.

“This is a four-yeal deal which will cover two AFCON’S. They going to Cote d’Ivoire and whoever is going to host in 2025, they will be there with us because we will be there.

“Bafana Bafana are a very essential part of country’s lively sport culture. If we look back at what happened in a game against Morroco, you see one of the most loved teams,”

Furthermore, SAFA is expected to provide an additional update on the Banyana Banyana saga.

Desiree Ellis had to do with a makeshift team as all the players selected for FIFA World Cup were unavailable.
