Arrows beef up squad with four new signings ahead of 2023/24 season

Golden Arrows have announced their new signings ahead of the 2023/24 PSL season with Bradley Cross headlining the new faces at the club.

The club made an announcement on their socials on Sunday 23 July.

Cross joins Abafana Bes’thende from cross town rivals Maritzburg United who were relegated from the South African topflight last season.

The 22-year-old played 17 matches in all competitions for The Team of Choice last season. Despite his dedication and hard work on the field of play, he failed to save the team from relegation.

The left-back announced his departure from Maritzburg United a fortnight ago. Other players that have left the club include the likes of Wayde Jooste and Travis Graham.

Another player that might be leaving the club soon is Rowen Human who has attracted interest from a number of DStv Premiership teams.

OTHER GOLDEN ARROWS NEW SIGNINGS

In strengthening their squad, the team also signed four players, strengthening mainly in attack.

This is one of the department Arrows were lacking in last season. They managed to socre 32 goals in the league.

The KZN outfit further revealed that they have acquired the services of winger Tebogo Motloung from Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila.

Arrows also welcomed former Hungry Lions attacking midfielders the duo of Olwethu Ncube and Angelo van Rooi.

Lastly, the PSL side bolstered their squad by bringing in Lungelo Nguse a former University of Pretoria striker.

GOLDEN ARROWS AIMING TO IMPROVE FROM LAST SEASON PERFORMANCE

Heading into the new campaign, Arrows will be aiming to improve from their last season performances under the guidance of co-coaches Vusimuzi Vilakazi and Mabhuti Khanyeza.

In their debut season, the duo led the team to a ninth place finish failing seal a spot in the top eight and qualifying for the MTN8.

Their poor form was because of inconsistent performances as they were blowing hot and cold throughout the entire season.
