Golden Arrows announce new major sponsor
Lamontville Golden Arrows have announced a new major sponsor ahead of the start of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
Abafana Bes’thende have secured a new three-year deal partnership with the betting company 10bet.
The name of the sponsor will appear in the centre of the club’s new shirt.
The 10bet Sponsorship Manager Nick Moyo said they chose Arrows because they share the same values with the club.
GOLDEN ARROWS ANNOUNCE NEW MAJOR SPONSOR
“We embarked on an interesting journey, looking at customer segmentation first in terms of what the customers are interested in which is football,” said Moyo.
“And I think also investing in a football team, sponsor and partner with them. We’re looking at a good fit for us. We could have gone with any other various teams in PSL but we thought Arrows have great history.
“And the journey that we have taken with Abafana Bes’thende being the nickname of the club. The kind of football they play, it speaks to their brand being an entertaining brand.
“So, I think Arrows align with us and we share value in terms of various ambitions that the club has and us as the brand.”
MOYO ON WHERE THEY WILL COLLABORATE WITH ARROWS
“Outside of the sponsorship, our serious initiative that the club is looking at embarking on is CSI is quite a strong point of business and something that we’re focusing on as well,”
“So, it will be around collaborating in those sort of events and initiatives, tournaments that the team will be embarking on from a sponsorship point of view. That will definitely drive that.”
Arrows will begin their 2023/24 season with a home game against Golden Arrows on 5 August. They will host the match in their new home ground Mpumalanga Stadium.
