Ryan Rae spotted at a new club

Experienced defensive midfielder Ryan Rae has been spotted at a new club ahead of the 2023/24 season, FARPost has learnt.

Rae has been without a club after parting ways with Maritzburg United on 30 June 2022.

The midfielder joined the Team of Choice after he cut ties with Gqeberha-based outfit Chippa United in February 2021.

During his stay at the ‘Blue Army’, Rae managed to feature in 34 games across all competitions and weighed in with one assist in the process.

The 31-year-old footballer also represented teams such as Black Aces and Highlands Park.

RYAN RAE SPOTTED AT A NEW PSL CLUB

Rae has since resurfaced at the Motsepe Foundation Championship side, Casric Stars.

The player will be hoping to secure a deal with the SA second-tier side and revive his football career.

The midfielder featured in Casric’s pre-season friendly match against TS Galaxy on Sunday, 30 July at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium, KwaMhlanga in Mpumalanga.

Rae will be expected to add the much-needed experience to Casric and guide the side to the promised land should he seal the deal with the club.

ANOTHER PLAYER SPOTTED IN CASRIC STARS COLOURS

This publication can further reveal that former Chippa winger Decide Chauke was one of the players spotted in Casric colours.

The 27-year-old has also been without a club after his relationship with the Chilli Boys ended in June this year.

Chauke only managed to play six games across all competitions for Chippa’s last campaign.

He also played for TS Sporting and Baroka FC. Given Chauke’s experience of the beautiful game, he will be hoping to put the pen to the paper with Casric.

To add to that, Casric will be gunning to achieve its ultimate goal of gaining automatic promotion to the DStv Premiership when the 2023/24 come to an end.
