Chippa skipper reveals two things Mosele brings
Chippa United captain Roscoe Pietersen has revealed two things Orlando Pirates loanee Goodman Mosele brings to the Eastern Cape side.
The Chilli Boys held Orlando Pirates to a 1-1 draw in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday evening.
Mosele scored the equaliser for the Morgan Mammila-coached outfit, earning them a point.
He has picked up two man-of-the-match accolades, and Pietersen has revealed what he adds to their squad.
TWO THINGS GOODMAN MOSELE BRINGS TO CHIPPA UNITED
“Having won two man-of-the-match awards already speaks for itself,” Pietersen told FARPost.
“He adds stability and aggression in midfield, which helps both defence and attack. He’s a very good acquisition.”
He believes Mosele had extra motivation facing his parent club, Pirates. “Going out on loan is a great opportunity to show your parent club what you’re capable of doing, and that’s what he did last night with his performance,” added the former Ajax Cape Town hardman.
With Mosele recently admitting to suffering from depression, Pietersen is convinced that time away from the Buccaneers will benefit Mosele.
“We will help him utilise his opportunity at Chippa United to the best that he can. To help him mentally and physically to consistently put in good performances. We are here to support and love him as one of our own.”
THE PLAN AGAINST ORLANDO PIRATES
Pietersen went on to reveal the formulated plan that restricted the Buccaneers from beating them.
“We’re putting in good team performances, that’s the standard we want to maintain,” Pietersen explained.
“The plan against Pirates was to win. To stay compact as a unit and not allow them to manipulate our team structure with all their rotations and manipulations. Force them to make mistakes and utilise the transitions to score goals. Unfortunately, we never got the result we wanted, although we ticked many boxes according to our game plan.”
Mammila’s charges also held Kaizer Chiefs to a goalless draw, picking a similar result against TS Galaxy.
