The latest update on Ashley Du Preez’s condition

Kaizer Chiefs have offered the latest update on Ashley Du Preez’s condition ahead of their DStv Premiership encounter against AmaZulu at the weekend.

Amakhosi will welcome Usuthu at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 26 August 2023. The game will start at 17:30.

The two teams come into this clash with the intention to register their first league win of the season.

As a result, this has put both sides under pressure from the supporters. Last weekend, we witnessed missiles being thrown at Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki. This was after their 1-0 defeat to TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium.

The Glamour Boys’ only win of the campaign was against Cape Town City in the MTN8 a fortnight ago.

KAIZER CHIEFS’ LATEST UPDATE ON ASHLEY DU PREEZ

The 26-year-old forward missed Chiefs’ league match against the Rocket due to a flu infection.

The Amakhosi fans can now breathe a sigh of relief, as the talented goalscorer will be ready for their game with AmaZulu.

“The team will be delighted to have Ashley Du Preez back after missing the last match due to ill health,” confirmed the Soweto giants on their official site.

So far, Du Preez has found the back of the net on two occasions. This was in the three games he has featured for Ntseki’s side this term.

The side eagerly anticipates Du Preez’s impact on the field of play and are optimistic that the player’s presence will make a difference.

It has been proven before that the ex-Stellenbosch FC man is a cracking package, workhorse, and ever-reliable finisher.

With the return of Du Preez, Ntseki will be hoping that the player will help them sort out their goalscoring problems. The side has been creating chances but failing to convert them.

As things stand, Chiefs are placed 13th on the DStv Premiership log standings with one point from three outings.
