Another ex-Chiefs star breaks goal duck overseas
After Njabulo Blom’s first-ever career goal, a former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back broke the goal duck overseas, with a crucial effort that powered Fotbal Club Steaua București.
The 23-year-old, Njabulo Blom got his first-ever career goal after five years of trying at elite league level.
He scored on Sunday when his St Louis City beat Bongokuhle Hlongwane‘s Minnesota United in the Major League Soccer.

However this time, it is Siyabonga Ngezana who broke the goal duck at Fotbal Club Steaua București [FCSB] in Romanian.
The former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back was on target for FCSB in the coveted Romanian cup.
They beat Bihor Oradea away from home and Siyabonga Ngezana got his name on the score sheet after 69 minutes.
His goal sealed the win, as it doubled the scores following David Raul Miculescu’s first-half goal. Ngezana put up a decent shift to help FCSB maintain their rich vein of form.
Unlike, Njabulo Blom, Ngezana previously scored in his 95 appearances in the DStv Premiership.
According to transfermarkt, he scored six goals for the Naturena-based club before his transfer to FCSB.
Ngezana has shone in the Romanian Liga 1 and even his coach Elias Charalambous has lauded the South African defender.
NGEZANA CONTINUES TO SOAR AT FCSB
The 26-year-old endured a tough start to life in Romania after an off-season transfer from the Glamour Boys.
He, however, got his chance to player after an injury to former Tottenham Hotspur defender Vlad Chiriches.
After grabbing the opportunity, the towering defender has played four consecutive league matches, in which he has started three.
And FCSB has been in fine form as they sit comfortably at the summit of the Romanian Liga 1 table.
They are unbeaten in their last five games, with the 2-2 draw against AFC Hermannstadt on 21 September as their only blemish.
