AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu has spoken his mind about one of the players who was signed by the club last season.
Usuthu recently had a massive squad revamp this past PSL transfer window as the club released 15 players and welcomed 11 new signings. Among the changes that were made, the club also appointed a new coach Pablo Franco Martin.
Meanwhile, there are players like Siphesihle Maduna, Mxolisi Kunene, Lindani Shange and Mswati Mavuso who are still with AmaZulu but not training with the first team. It is understood they are not in the plans of Martin.
According to Zungu, Usuthu tried to get loan deals for Mavuso, however, the player wasnโt interested in leaving the club.
FARPost understands AmaZulu triggered a two-year option on the contract of Mavuso who had signed a five-month deal initially. Thus, he has this season and the upcoming one as an AmaZulu player
And as per KickOff, the club was hoping the player would accept a โsix-month pay-offโ.

SANDILE ZUNGU OPENS UP ON MSWATI MAVUSO
โI think the guy just doesnโt want to play soccer, thatโs the impression I got,โ Zungu told FARPost.
โHe doesnโt want to play soccer. We have tried to find him teams that he can be loaned to. But I think heโs not interested in playing soccer.
โI think he just wants to hang around and have the package that he has with AmaZulu which is a reality. So, thereโs nothing we can do much if someone doesnโt want to play soccer.โ
The 22-year-old hasnโt made a single appearance since penning a deal with Usuthu in February this year.
โHeโs definitely not in the plans of the coach,โ Zungu added.
โHe has been exposed to the three coaches [Romain Folz, Ayanda Dlamini and Pablo Franco Martin].
โRomain Folz who signed him, he was not in his plans and we asked โWhy do you sign a player whoโs not in your plans?โ. He said heโs not ready but he will get ready sometime.โ
