A Mamelodi Sundowns target is set for an assessment at a PSL club this week, FARPost has learnt.
This publication has been reliably informed that teenage sensation Andile Zuma will go for an assessment at Motsepe Foundation Championship side, Milford FC.
The 19-year-old will go for assessment at his home town side Milford this week.
As reported by FARPost last month, Zuma underwent assessment at Mamelodi Sundowns’ feeder club M-Tigers before he went to Spain for trials.
M Tigers competes in the SAFA Gauteng ABC Motsepe League.
The talented teenager previously won the Bayhill Premier Cup with Grassy Park United.
MILFORD FC STRUGGLING IN THE SA SECOND TIER
As things stand, Milford are languishing at the bottom of the Motsepe Foundation Championship [15th place] with nine points after 11 outings.
Milford are competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship for the first time this campaign after purchasing Uthongathi FC status at the beginning of the season.
So far, the side have already sacked their head coach Asanda Mvalo following a string of poor results.
When Mvalo was shown the exit door, he had already taken charge of four games and lost all of them.
Since then, Xanti Pupuma took over the coaching reins at Milford. Pupuma has managed to win two games, drawing three and lost two in the process.
Zuma is one player who has the abilities to add the much-needed value to struggling KwaZulu-Natal side and help them to survive the chop.
The youngster will be hoping to impress Milford’s technical team and earn himself a deal with the club.
MILFORD FC’S NEXT ASSIGNMENT
Milford will take on Upington City in their next league fixture away from home on Sunday, 12 November 2023. The kick-off for this showdown is at 15:30.
