Sekhukhune United find Brandon Truter’s replacement

Sekhukhune United have found a replacement for their former coach, Brandon Truter, ushering in a new era of leadership.

The Limpopo-based side has been without a head coach since parting ways with Truter at the start of November 2023.

Truter was shown the exit door after a poor start to the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season. Babina Noko are positioned 12th on the league table with 14 points.

They won four games, drawing two while losing on six occasions after 12 games played in the league.

Sekhukhune United have also missed out on two domestic trophies after being knocked out of the MTN8 and Carling Knockout Cup.

Sekhukhune crashed out of the MTN8 quarter-finals after losing to Orlando Pirates early in the season. They were knocked out of the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals by TS Galaxy on the fourth of November.

Mcdonald Makhubedu assumed the head coaching role on an interim basis while Sekhukhune searched for a suitable candidate to take over the reins.

With Simon Malatji-owned team aiming to bring their season back on track, they wasted no time in replacing Truter.

“Look Seema has been in contact with Sekhukhune United about coming on board and everything looks good,” a source told FARPost.

“It’s only small details that are left before concluding the deal. I mean it’s just a small thing, then we can see who’s there and what’s going on.

“Another conversation around Seema’s deal is with the technical team. The coach is not a fussy guy so it looks like he is more than happy to work with anyone at the club without firing anyone.”
