TS Galaxy coach provides update on Thamsanqa Gabuza
TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has given an update on whether striker Thamsanqa Gabuza will be available for selection in the Carling Knockout Cup semi-finals.
The Rockets are set to take on AmaZulu FC for a spot in the final when they face off on Sunday, 3 December at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3pm.
Gabuza was a notable absentee in Galaxy’s last DStv Premiership match as they defeated Polokwane City FC 3-0. This was after he was arrested for Gender-Based Violence [GBV], but was granted a bail of R3000.
Ahead of the Sunday showdown, the former Orlando Pirates striker, Gabuza was training with the team at Sturrock Park, Johannesbug on Thursday as they were preparing for the final.
SEAD RAMOVIC SAYS THAMSANQA GABUZA WILL BE AVAILABLE
Ramovic revealed that Gabuza will be available for selection. But he has to work hard to get some gametime.
“I think, I know him, [Thamsanqa Gabuza] he’s a very fantastic human being, a fantastic player,” Ramovic.
“But like I always say, we have 23 fantastic players in our squad. It’s not easy to play. We got big attitude players, it makes things not easy for us.
“Everyone has to train well, everyone has to show quality everyday to have a chance to play and have gametime. Gabuza very professional, very great, we are happy to have him in our squad.
THAMSANQA GABUZA DOESN’T HAVE DISCIPLINARY ISSUES
Despite Gabuza finding himself on the wrong side of the law, Ramovic admitted that the striker has never given him any problems.
“I don’t have any problem with him about discipline. What happened is still a case. I will treat him with a lot of respect. I’ve known him since July and he’s a big part of this club,” Ramovic added.
