ABC Motsepe League player passes on
SAFA Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League side Sinenkani FC have confirmed the passing of defender Ntsizwa Silangwe.
The central defender is reported to have met his untimely after a short illness on Sunday, 10 December 2023. He was born on the 1st of January 1996.
According to reports, the player was rushed to the City Hospital in Durban from the club’s house at Lamontville, as his teammates realised that he was struggling to breathe.
Silangwe is described as a humble soul who loved the beautiful game and left everything in the field of play.
The talented defender was also described as someone who loved to do his iconic hugs and small talks with other players and take pictures and videos with the supporters at the stands.
The funeral arrangements of the Silangwe will be announced in due course, once the family has decided on the dates.
SINENKANI FC OFFICIAL STATEMENT
“It is with heavy hearts that, wish to inform the stubborn nation that we have lost one of our key players, Ntsizwa Silangwe.
“Ntsizwa sadly lost his life in a very short illness.
“We have lost a very good player, a gallant fighter, and a soldier we all loved and respected.
In fact, his passing is a loss to the entire football fraternity.
“We will share further details of funeral arrangements once the family has decided.
May his soul rest in peace.”
SINENKANI FC CURRENT LOG STANDINGS POSITION
Sinenkani currently sit third in Stream A of the provincial third-tier division with 12 points from four outings.
As a result, Sinenkani are yet to drop points this campaign.
The side will return to action on Saturday, 20 January 2024 when they take on Camdeboo Football Academy Development at home.
The kick-off will be at 15:00 at Mbizana Stadium.
