PSL club sniffing around Moroka Swallows striker Kagiso Malinga

A PSL club has been sniffing around the Moroka Swallows striker Kagiso Malinga hoping to bring the forward on board.

Malinga has been with the Dube Birds for over three and a half years now, having joined the club in 2019 as a loanee from SuperSport United.

The Swanky Boys had signed him from Polokwane City Rovers who are currently in the Motsepe Foundation Championship

He made a permanent switch to Swallows in 2020 after parting ways with Matsatsantsa having made just three appearances for the Pretoria side.

Malinga has been one of the players the Steve Komphela-coached side has been relying heavily on this season as he has missed only one game in all competitions.

The 28-year-old didn’t feature when Swallows were knocked out by Richards Bay in the Carling Knockout Cup in the Round of 16 in Durban. In 13 matches he has played, he started ten times and came on from the bench on three occasions.

Despite being a regular for Swallows, the attacker hasn’t found the back of the net in this campaign and has only provided one assist so far.

PSL CLUB SEKHUKHUNE UNITED INTERESTED IN MOROKA SWALLOWS STRIKER KAGISO MALINGA

The word reaching FARPost is that Malinga’s name has been on the wishlist of Sekhukhune United since the previous season. The Limpopo outfit is looking to reinforce its striking department.

Swallows reportedly triggered the one-year option they had with the striker after the contract had expired at the end of the last season. It is understood Malinga will enter the last six months of his contract with Swallows in January.

This would mean if Swallows don’t retain his services, he could then sign a pre-contract with any club.

Malinga has amassed over 80 appearances for Swallows in total, scoring seven goals and registering one assist.
