AmaTuks coach Motaung responds to Dan Malesela’s accusations
AmaTuks coach Tlisane Motaung has responded to the accusations made by Baroka FC head coach Dan Malesela.
Malesela accused AmaTuks’ technical team of insinuating that Baroka relies on the match officials to win matches in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
This came after the Limpopo-based side, Baroka played out to an entertaining 1-1 draw against Tuks at Global Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
After the match, Malesela expressed his disappointment with AmaTuks’ technical team for claiming that Baroka win their games via favours from referees.
Baroka have enjoyed a good run of form under Malesela who took over the coaching role in October from Stanford Nkoane.
Bakgakga played 10 matches under the guidance of Malesela, winning seven times while drawing in three occasions.
With both sides, Baroka and AmaTuks missing the chance to close the gap on log leaders Orbit College, Malesela said he felt disrespected by the Tshwane side’s technical team for saying they rely on referees to win games.
TLISANE MOTAUNG COMMENTS ON DAN MALESELA’S ACCUSATIONS
AmaTuks coach Tlisane Motaung has since responded to claims by the former Chippa United mentor.
“I wouldn’t say I’m surprised or disappointed about what Dan Malesela said. I don’t think what he said is true,” Motaung said.
“Our technical team is a group of very good human beings and I don’t think anyone could say that Baroka relies on referees to win games. Another thing is, after the match Malesela and I shook hands and he never said anything about my technical team. I don’t even remember having a heated exchange with the coach during the match.
“I mean last season, Baroka beat us home and away. We never said anything bad about them, why would we say it after a draw, in a game that we were leading for the whole 90 minutes?”
