TS Galaxy goalkeeper unfazed by Stellenbosch attacking force ahead of CKO final

TS Galaxy goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari is unfazed by Stellenbosch FC’s attacking trio of Iqraam Rayners, Jayden Adams and Devin Titus ahead of their Carling Knockout Cup final.

The two teams will battle it out for the new PSL trophy on Saturday in Durban at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3pm.

The three players have played a pivotal role this season for the Maroons after making 18 appearances in all competitions, respectively.

Rayners has scored five goals and provided an assist and Titus has found the back of the net four times and has three assists. On the other hand, Adams has netted three goals and turned provider two times.

The Rockets and Stellies have already met in the DStv Premiership this season. The Cape Winelands outfit outclassed Galaxy winning 3-0, but Ntwari was on the bench.

FIACRE NTWARI ON FACING IN-FORM STELLENBOSCH FC STRIKERS

Ntwari insists Stellenbosch has good attackers, but he’s not afraid of them.

“Stellies is a good team, we played but I was not there, I was on the bench. It’s a good team I cannot say I’m afraid of them; their strikers,” said Ntwari.

“I have met many great strikers that played in Europe, France and England. I’m not afraid of them, they are good but I’m not afraid. I will try to do my best so we can win the cup.”

NTWARI SAYS COMMUNICATION BETWEEN HIM AND THE DEFENDERS WILL BE KEY

Ntwari highlighted that communication will be key between him and the defenders not to let in goals.

“It’s important [to communicate] because I’m seeing all of them from behind, it helps so we can do much better.

“Last game we conceded three goals, they are fast, we have to keep our minds on them. But it’s a final anything can happen. I think we’ll try our best so that we can win something,” he added.
