Agent provides update on the absence of Azola Ntsabo at Chippa United
Football agent Ntobatsi Masegela has provided an update on the absence of his client Azola Ntsabo at Chippa United.
Ntsabo has been a notable absentee for Chippa United in the DStv Premiership after missing the last two months of action.
The wing-back last featured for the Chilli Boys in the Carling Knockout Cup against Stellenbosch FC in October 2023. Chippa lost 2-1 against Stellies to crash out of the CKO in the last 16.
In the 2023/24 campaign, Ntsabo featured in 10 matches in all competitions for the Gqeberha-based side.
The 24-year-old defender joined Chippa two seasons ago from Cape Town All Stars and played 18 matches in all competitions in his first season.
NTOBATSI MASEGELA EXPLAINS WHY NTSABO IS MISSING IN ACTION FOR CHIPPA
With Ntsabo missing from the match squad at Chippa, his agent Masegela has explained the absence of the left-footer.
“Ntsabo had a good start to the season unfortunately, he suffered a medical condition which is confidential,” Masegela told FARPost.
“He has been in the good hands of the Chippa United medical team and the specialists. But I can tell you now that he’s slowly making his return to full fitness.
“We talking about a player who’s very ambitious and he wants to get back to playing so that he can fulfill all his wishes,”
Masegela further shed some light on Ntsabo’s contract situation at Chippa, revealing that the contract ends in July 2024.
“So Azola’s contract with Chippa is ending in July 2024. Whether he will stay at the club or move, that’s a conversation we still going to have with the club.
“But we talking about a player who’s very ambitious with winning trophies at some point in his career and possibly representing Bafana Bafana.
“Whatever decision that will be taken on his future will have to consider all his wishes. And also allow him a platform to fulfill his potential.”
