Banyana duo shine in Liga MX Femenil match-day four
Banyana Banyana duo Thembi Kgatlana and Sinoxolo Cesane continued to shine in the Liga MX Femenil, as they maintained their good start to the season following good performances in match-day four.
The two stars, Kgatlana and Cesane, made their switch to Mexico’s top flight ahead of the current campaign after stints with Racing Louisville and Stade De Reims, respectively.
To add, Kgatlana was part of the national team squad that reached the Round of 16 in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup that was held in Australia and New Zealand.
The attackers sealed great deals with Tigres UANL Femenil and Mazatlan FC Femenil, respectively.
Despite the two stars putting up great performances, their clubs registered different results. Tigres ran riot as they thrashed Club León Femenil 7-2. On the other hand, Mazatlan suffered a 3-1 defeat against Atlas F.C. Femenil.
THRMBI KGATLANA AND SINOXOLO CESANE ON TARGET IN MEXICO
Kgatlana and Cesane were on target for their respective teams on Saturday as they continued with their good scoring form in front of goal. Kgatlana scored the third goal of the match, while Cesane found the back of the net as she scored the only goal for her team.
An interesting fact about the two attackers is that they are on par after scoring three goals each this season.
Tigres are cruising nicely as they have maintained their 100 per cent start to the season. They occupy the top spot on the log standings with 12 points.
As for Mazatlan, they are yet to find theright balance as they are struggling for form and consistency following one win. After four matches played, the club find itself in the bottom half, 14th, with three points.
