Kgoloko Thobejane secures new coaching job
Charismatic coach Kgoloko Thobejane has found himself another coaching job after parting ways with ABC Motsepe League side Postmasburg FC.
Thobejane was in charge of the Northern Cape side in the third-tier league from September 2023, following his departure from another SAFA ABC Motsepe League side, Som United.
The former Baroka FC head coach has now secured a new job at North West side Super Stars FC. Thobejane, who takes over from Goodman Phosa, began his tenure last week with a defeat against Spain FC, who recently qualified for the Nedbank Cup Last 32.
Super Stars CEO Dan Mhlongo has told FARPost that there has been a huge difference in the team since Thobejane’s arrival two weeks ago.
NEW JOB FOR FORMER BAROKA FC COACH KGOLOKO THOBEJANE
“With coach Kgoloko, I know that we have a capable coach who is going to make sure that we win the league at the end of the season,” he said.
“We appointed him two weeks back because, as a team, we wanted to win the league. We are now at position four on the log. So our aim now is to go for the league.
“Kgoloko is a good coach. I realised during his first week when we played against Spain FC, technically he is very good,” explained Mhlongo.
NORTH WEST CLUB REVEALS AMBITIONS FOR THE CURRENT SEASON
The club has given Thobejane a mandate of qualifying for the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs.
“He was with the boys for five days, but, unfortunately, we lost the game at the last minute because of a lack of concentration from the boys. The way he addresses players, I am very happy with him. The mandate is to win the league to go to the national playoffs.”
