Magesi announce signing of former Chiefs midfielder

Motsepe Foundation Championship promotion chasers Magesi FC have beefed up their squad with the signing of a former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder and four more players.

The club recently returned for mid-season training ahead of the league resumption next month. They currently sit sixth on the log, three points behind log leaders Orbit College.

EX-KAIZER CHIEFS PLAYER AMONGST NEW SIGNINGS AT MAGESI FC

On Monday, the club took to social media to unveil Ex-Chiefs player Edmore Chirambadare alongside ex-Chippa United striker Rhulani Manzini, the former Maritzburg United player Deolin Mekoa as well as Karabo Seroto and Ntuthuko Mlotshwa.

Head coach Clinton Larsen has also explained the reasons behind all the five recruits who have already begun training with the team.

“We have tried to look at areas in the team to strengthen before the league starts in the second round,” said Larsen.

“So we have brought five players on board, two of them are under 23 players. Both of them are young strikers and we believe they have the potential in the first division and to take their careers to greater heights.”

CLINTON LARSEN COUNTING ON EXPERIENCE AHEAD OF LEAGUE’S SECOND ROUND

“We have also brought in three experienced players, Deolin, and Rhulani Manzini. Everybody knows him, he is a striker with lots of experience and lastly Edmore Charambadare. So those are the three experienced players with the two young boys we have brought in.

“We really believe that they are going to be a breath of fresh air. They will add quality in different departments that we have looked to reinforce. We hope that their inclusion in the squad now strengthens the depth in our squad and we can be a little bit more competitive than we were in the first round.”

Magesi will return to action on 13 February when they travel to JDR Stars.
