Kgoloko Thobejane’s presence at a PSL side explained

Magesi FC coach Clinton Larsen has explained the presence of Kgoloko Thobejane at their training grounds ahead of the Motsepe Foundation Championship clash against their rivals Baroka FC on Sunday.

Both Magesi and Baroka are chasing promotion to the DStv Premiership with 11 matches to go.

Thobejane has been unemployed since parting ways with SAFA North West ABC Motsepe League side Super Stars FC. FARPost spotted the former Baroka FC coach at Magesi training grounds in Polokwane on Monday.

But coach Larsen has since clarified why the charismatic coach was at the club.

“There is a group of coaches doing their CAF C license and have asked for permission to come and assess our session,” he said.

“Coach Thobejane is one of the coaches, so we have welcomed them. We have a responsibility as a professional club to empower coaches who are doing their badges. So we hope that they will enjoy their stay here.”

KGOLOKO THOBEJANE LOOKING FOR A NEW COACHING CHALLENGE

Thobejane maintains that he is ready to coach at any level as long as the right offer comes.

“For me, at any level, I am ready. I am ready for any level. I can’t pick and choose whether it’s the ABC Motsepe League or Motsepe Foundation Championship, or even the DStv Premiership. It’s not about the level, but it’s about football.

“Right now, I am not attached to any team. I am looking for a job. So, I am not working, and at some stage, it was disturbing me a bit. But now I am doing the C license. So free as I am, I want to thank God because it’s a blessing in disguise.”

Meanwhile, the tense rivalry between the two clubs dates back to their days in the SAFA ABC Motsepe League in Limpopo. Tensions are also high as only two points separate the two teams.
