The race for the title honours in the ABC Motsepe League is heating up and getting fascinating in different provinces following mouthwatering weekend fixtures.
In the SAFA North West, Army Rockets have won Stream A after their 2-0 win over Kgositile FC away from home. Army Rockets have collected 35 points from 14 games. They are now left with four matches to play.
Shifting focus to Stream B, Thames FC stands a good chance to win the stream, having amassed 33 points after 15 outings. Thames are five points ahead of second-placed Mahika Champions.
Over to Mpumalanga, Barberton All Stars were handed [walk over] a 2-0 win over Flymingo United.
Dondol Stars are currently top of the table in the Gauteng Motsepe League with 56 points after 26 games. This past weekend they cemented their top spot by thrashing Thelray United with a 4-0 scoreline.
Meanwhile, Bloemfontein Celtic defeated Golden Stars 1-0 on their own turf to remain Stream A leaders. Celtic has collected 37 points from 17 matches, three points ahead of second-placed D’General.
