Lehlohonolo Seema tips latest debutant for greater heights
Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has tipped one of the youngsters who made his DStv Premiership debut against Orlando Pirates as one for the future.
Cameron Carnell came in as a second-half substitute during the 2-1 win against Pirates at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday. His first official match for the club was against Diables Noirs, where he also came in as a second-half substitute in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Seema says he hopes Carnell getting game time will serve as an inspiration to other youngsters in the development side.
“That is why he got promoted. If you are raising your hand in the development, you deserve a chance, and we are not going to try to demand too much from him,” said Seema.

“He is still young and still going to come, and he is doing well. The only thing we told him was, ‘Go and enjoy yourself. Make sure that we stick to the technical plan that we spoke about.’ If he could stick to the plan like this at an early age, then that is good,” he said.

“That means he is giving hope to all the youngsters that are in the development that there is a chance and hope,” added Seema.
“So we are happy for him and he will be good for us in the future. I was happy with his contribution. He is part of the team that won against Orlando Pirates and it’s a feeling that he will never forget hopefully.”
Sekhukhune are set to welcome Cape Town City FC at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday evening. They are currently third in the DStv Premiership with 10 matches remaining.
