Rulani on how long injured Zungu and Lebusa will be out for

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has revealed how long Bongani Zungu and Mosa Lebusa will be on the sidelines due to injuries.

Madandawana were dealt a huge blow when Zungu sustained an injury 13 minutes into the match against Yanga SC in the CAF Champions League quarter-final first leg on Saturday.

Aubrey Modiba came on as the former Rangers midfielder couldn’t continue with the match.

Meanwhile, Lebusa also last featured against the Tanzanian giants and was subbed off in the 70th with Siphelele Mkhulise replacing him.

According to Mokwena, the duo could be out of action for four weeks while nursing injuries. However, Mokwena isn’t worried as the likes of Mothobi Mvala and Rushine De Reuck recently came back from injuries.

He’s also hoping that Abdelmounaim Boutouil will return soon to give them more options at the back.

“He’s got a hernia but it’s a little bit upper and towards the side, something he’s been struggling a little bit with,” said Mokwena.

“And the prognosis is that he’ll be out for four weeks, him and Mosa Lebusa which is a big blow for us. But fortunately, we’re getting Mothobi [Mvala] back at a very important time.

“We’re getting Rushine [De Reuck] back, he was on the bench [in a match against Richards Bay FC]. Brian Onyango is always reliable and ready.

“So, we’re okay and how good was [Bathusi] Aubaas in that position today. He was amazing. So, we should be okay.

“Hopefully we can get AB [Abdelmounaim Boutouil] back because he gives us a lot of options at centre-back, left centre-back, left-back, inverted left-back and third midfielder.

“So, the numbers are getting there and AB should be back but I think Bongs and Mosa probably [they won’t be available] in the next four weeks.

“And maybe towards the end of the season, the last couple of weeks, they will be back.”
