Kruger United join Dondol and Njampela in ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs
Kruger United are the champions of the Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League after defeating Mpumalanga Football Academy 2-0 at the weekend away from home.
The SAFA Mpumalanga third division winners topped the provincial league with 66 points from 32 outings, three points ahead of second-placed Ehlanzeni United, who succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Sibange Young Bucks on Saturday.
As a result, Kruger United have qualified for the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs. They are the third side to book the national playoffs spot after Dondol Stars of Gauteng province and Njampela FC from KwaZulu-Natal.
The upcoming national playoffs are set to be held in the Northern Cape. SAFA will confirm The date and venue for the playoffs in due course.
Meanwhile, in Limpopo, Tzaneen United [Stream B winners] will face Mpheni Home Defenders [Stream B winners] in the provincial playoffs.
However, things could take a different turn. One of the few cases in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League involved Tzaneen United, who are accused of using an improperly registered player in some of its matches.
